An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and ambitious Concessions Manager to join our team at World Design & Trade in FIRETRAP- HOUSE OF FRASER CROYDON.

Firetrap was founded in 1993 - a brand that was anti-bureaucratic and unconventional - "Edgy" "Dangerous" "Individual" "English" and "Uncompromising" were used to describe this brand by its founder and the words are just as relevant to the label today, almost 20 years later.

Firetrap capitalises on the fact that the brand is designed in London by British designers - Firetrap is defined by the London look and attitude, it is a mirror to London style and culture - Firetrap is London and London- ism is the future. Taking inspiration from all the sights, sounds and flavours of London life, Firetrap's time is the night-time, they are grabbing hold of the legendary subversive wit and rebellious spirit associated with the city and making it their own.

Having firmly established itself internationally, the brand is sold in more than 1,500 doors worldwide in over 30 countries. There are eight stand-alone stores in the UK alone, including our flagship store in Covent Garden.

Away from the UK the brand is a key player worldwide with a store in Dubai and concessions throughout Italy. 2009 has seen huge expansion within the UK market as well as on an International level.

Reporting to:

Role and Responsibilities:

Customer Services & Sales

  • Ensure high levels of Customer Service and best selling practices are carried out
  • Ensure you are fully trained on all products & selling techniques
  • Ensure you and your team members represent the brand at all times
  • Ensure you and your team are wearing the current seasons clothing

 Operating Standards

  • Opening and closing procedures are adhered to correctly
  • Review store presentation
  • Action any e-mails from head office
  • Feedback to city/area manager information for the trade report
  • Hold "team talks" to communicate sales targets and any other information
  • Housekeeping standards are complied with
  • Maintenance issues are reviewed & resolved quickly
  • All banking is completed on time
  • Any cash discrepancies to be communicated to area manager as soon as possible
  • Daily figures are sent to head office on time
  • Ensuring Rotas are up to date - highlight to area manager any issues
  • Ensure core hours are adhered to
  • Ensure flexi hours are agreed with the area manager to support trade
  • Support across geographical areas where needed
  • Ensure that deliveries are worked daily
  • Ensure that the head office receives up to date feedback on stock levels
  • Ensure correct densities are on the sales floor
  • Stock rooms are kept neat and tidy
  • Ensure all Visual merchandising is of the highest quality
  • Support sales of best and poor sellers
  • Ensure that all Sales Assistants have a half year review with line manager
  • Ensure that all people management i.e. holiday planning, payroll is completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Provide feedback to area manager on poor performers and over achievers
  • Contribute to the retail strategy
