Job Purpose:

To oversee the day to day activities of the retail business  in your area and to drive the WDT growth strategy forwards         

Reporting to:

Area Manager

Role and Responsibilities:

 

Customer Service & Sales

  • Ensure that the best customer service and selling practices are carried out at all times
  • Handle customer complaints in line with company policy
  • Ensure that the staff are fully trained in customer service & Selling practices
  • Ensure that Team Members reflect the brand image and is upheld at all times

Operating Standards

  • Opening and closing procedures are adhered to correctly
  • Focused on the general standards & housekeeping
  • All banking is completed on time - any discrepancies are reported to area manager immediately
  • Ensure that the brand image is projected at all times through high standards of visual appearance and merchandising
  • Ensure all administration for the concessions are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Including the Trade report to be completed daily to send back on Monday to retail team
  • Area manager 121's and next steps are compiled & completed
  • (Concession only) Develop and promote a great working relationship with Selfridges / Hof F

Ensure right hours in the right place

  • Ensuring Rota are up to date
  • Ensuring that the core hours are adhered to
  • Ensuring that flexi hours are agreed with the area manager to support trade 4 weeks in advance

 Stock Management

  • Manage and utilise the EPOS System
  • Ensure that deliveries are worked daily
  • Ensures that returns are actioned
  • Ensures that best seller checks are completed
  • Ensure that the office received up to date feedback on stock levels

Trading activity

  • Reviews the commercial offer daily
  • Ensure that Visual merchandising is of the highest quality
  • Regular competitor visits to ensure that the brand remains competitive

People management

  • Ensure that all supervisors have a regular 121
  • Ensure that all Sales assistants have a half year review
  • Ensure that all recruitment follows company guidelines, and new starters are inducted correctly
  • Ensure that all people routines i.e. holiday planning, payroll is completed correctly and in a timely manner, Disciplinary and Grievances are dealt with
  • Ensure that Health & Safety requirements are met
