Job Purpose:

To action day to day activities, drive trade and team lead sales assistants

Reporting to:

City Manager

Role and Responsibilities:

 

Customer Services & Sales

  • Ensure that the best Customer Service and Selling practices are carried out
  • Ensure that you are fully trained on products & selling techniques
  • Ensure that you & team members represent the brand at all times
  • Ensure that you & team are wearing the correct season uniform

Operating Standards

  • Opening and closing procedures are adhered to correctly
  • Review store presentation
  • Action any e-mails from head office
  • Feedback to city/area manager information for the trade report
  • Hold "team talk" to communicate sales targets and other info
  • Housekeeping standard are complied with
  • Maintenance issues are reviewed & resolved quickly
  • All banking is completed on time
  • Any cash discrepancies to be communicated to Line manager as soon as practical
  • Daily figures are sent on time

Ensure right hours in the right place

  • Ensuring Rota are up to date - highlight to line manager any issues
  • Ensure core hours are adhered to
  • Ensure that flexi hours are agreed with the line manager to support trade
  • Support across geographical area where needed

Stock Management

  • Ensure that deliveries are worked daily
  • Ensure that the office received up to date feedback on stock levels
  • Ensure correct densities are on sales floor
  • Stock rooms are kept neat and tidy

Trading activity

  • Ensure that Visual merchandising is of the highest quality
  • Support sales of best and poor sellers

People management

  • Ensure that all Sales assistants have a half year review with line manager
  • Ensure that all people routines i.e. holiday planning, payroll is completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Provide feedback to line manager on poor performers and over achievers

Projects

  • Contribute to the retail strategy

Give timely feedback on new imitative and projects
