Job Purpose:

 

To give full support to the Fullcircle Merchandising and Design Team controlling styles from Design through to delivery.

Reporting to:

Senior Menswear Merchandiser

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assisting the Design Team to put together the Men's collections each season including board building.
  • Fabric sourcing and resourcing on direction set by brand.
  • To advise all sources ideas on new fabrication/along with new prints to enable all countries to find and develop fabrics. Discuss with designers & collate initial master colour standard & distribute to supplier agents.
  • Obtaining prices on all selected fabrics.
  • Sale sample fabric ordering and lab dip & trim approval.
  • Placing all proto and Salesman sample files with factories and ensuring on time arrivals of all samples - following clear Critical Path dates, as set by brand.
  • Creating and maintaining of all style details on WDT system.
  • Creation and maintenance of data on the critical path.
  • Obtaining/ maintaining and negotiating of prices for first samples and Salesman samples.
  • Obtaining minimum and lead-time information on all selected fabrics and styles.
  • Monitor salesman samples progress.
  • Ensure that all fits & details are correct prior to range launch.
  • Colouration updated / finalized pre-launch within the PDM system.
  • Check & correct salesman samples details prior to sending out to sales agents.
  • Maintaining sales sample notes and update notes in the PDM system.
  • Target price re-negotiated & finalized
  • Approval of pre-production and shipment samples.
  • Regular communication with all suppliers
  • Some overseas travel necessary

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Strong technical background in making & fitting garments
  • Knowledge in printing/ dying/finishing in both garments and textile
  • Similar work experience (minimum 2 to 3 years)
  • Able to keep to agreed deadlines.
  • Self-starter (motivated) and able to juggle a number of different projects
  • Outgoing personality
  • Analytical and logical thinker
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Hard-working, organised & flexible
  • Must be computer literate (familiar with spreadsheets using Excel and Word)
