Menswear Designer

Job Purpose:

 

To develop the design direction and handwriting of the Full Circle Menswear Brand

Reporting to:

Head of Design

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • To take full responsibility for the development and design of the collection and related collection product.
  • To bring a fresh and original perspective to the brand whilst maintaining commerciality.
  • To assist and take responsibility in the organisation and preparation of specifications packs, technical drawings and graphics.
  • Take an active part in market research and use this knowledge to design a range accordingly.
  • Travelling will be required.
  • Meet margin targets as agreed.
  • Work closely with Production team to ensure a smooth pass over of files.

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Similar work experience essential (branded menswear i.e. - Ted Baker, Paul Smith, Reiss etc.).
  • Full and complete knowledge of fabrics, washes and styling details.
  • Enthusiasm
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Able to keep to agreed deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a lively, dedicated team.
  • Computer literate (in-depth knowledge of packages including freehand, Illustrator, photoshop would be a distinct advantage)
